During the school vacation, Rebecca and Ernest discover some bad news: Mrs. Macdow, the school headmistress, is moving in next door to them! They get the idea to force her to leave, but their plan backfires and Mrs. Macdow ends up moving in with them! In order to drive her away, Rebecca and Ernest manage to get her to believe that the house is haunted. So, Rebecca and Ernest can get back to enjoying a nice peaceful summer.
